2. Provision of the website and server logs

Each time this website is accessed, our web server processes technically necessary data transmitted by your browser: IP address (Internet Protocol address), date and time of access, page or file accessed, amount of data transferred, status code, the previously visited page (referrer) as well as browser type and operating system (user agent).

The processing takes place in order to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability, in particular to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO (GDPR); our legitimate interest lies in a secure and functional website. The server logs are automatically deleted after 14 days. IP addresses from which attacks repeatedly originate are temporarily blocked for defence purposes.

3. Hosting

This website is operated on a dedicated server in a data centre of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, in Nuremberg (Germany). Hetzner processes personal data exclusively on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO (GDPR). Transmission is encrypted via HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure).

4. No cookies, no analytics, no third-party providers

The public pages of this website do not set cookies, do not use analytics or advertising services and do not embed content from third-party providers. Fonts are loaded from our own server; no connection to third-party servers is established when a page is accessed.

5. Contact by e-mail and telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process your details (in particular name, contact details and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO (GDPR), insofar as your enquiry is directed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO; our legitimate interest lies in responding to your enquiry. Our e-mail mailbox is operated by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva (Switzerland); an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 DSGVO exists for Switzerland. We delete the data as soon as they are no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law, preclude deletion.

6. Client Area

Once activated, the protected Client Area is subject to separate privacy notices, which will be made available to you before your first login. Only a technically necessary session cookie is set there (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG – Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

7. Recipients

Your data are transferred to third parties only insofar as this is necessary for the performance of the contract (for example to insurers in the course of brokerage), we are legally obliged to do so or you have given your consent. How insurers that have acceded to the insurance industry's code of conduct handle personal data can be read in the insurance industry's code of conduct on data protection. Processors are contractually bound to confidentiality and data security.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 DSGVO – GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 DSGVO), erasure (Art. 17 DSGVO), restriction of processing (Art. 18 DSGVO) and data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) DSGVO).

Right to object: Insofar as we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO (GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 DSGVO).
