Implementation requires leadership and rhythm
In ongoing operations, the restructuring competes with day-to-day business for time and attention. Without fixed procedures, measures quickly stall. We therefore set up implementation management: regular meetings, clear responsibilities and an overview of the status of each measure.
In weekly or fortnightly meetings, the participants discuss what has been completed, where there are problems and which decisions are pending. This keeps the restructuring on the management's agenda.
Performance monitoring with key figures
For each measure, it is recorded which effect is expected and how it will be measured. A concise report summarises the implementation status, the effect achieved and the development of the most important KPIs (key performance indicators). Together with the ongoing liquidity planning, this provides a reliable picture of whether the restructuring is on track.
- list of measures with status, responsible persons and deadlines
- plan-versus-actual comparison of earnings and liquidity
- early warning of delays and variances
- regular reports for the management, the shareholders and, on request, the bank
Interim support
Sometimes a company lacks the capacity or experience to manage a restructuring alongside day-to-day business. In such cases we offer interim support: for an agreed period, we work closely with the management, take over the management of the restructuring project and provide support with commercial tasks.
Entrepreneurial responsibility and the statutory duties remain with the management. We jointly set out the scope, duration and tasks of the interim support in writing.
The path back to normal operations
The aim of all our support is for your company to resume control independently. We hand over the tools introduced – liquidity planning, key figure report, tracking of measures – in such a way that they can be continued in day-to-day business.
Frequently asked questions
How long does implementation support last?
That depends on the scope and nature of the measures. We determine the period together and review it regularly.
Do you take over the management of the company as part of interim support?
We support the management and steer the restructuring project. The position as a corporate officer and the associated statutory duties remain with the management.
What happens if measures do not work?
This becomes apparent at an early stage, and we develop replacement or additional measures with you. This is precisely what ongoing performance monitoring is for.
